  the factory and the only thing done was to rework the prop to  
  get it up and add some extra top end. The prop master in Hot  
  Springs, AR is Doyle Cox and he can make them do some   
  amazing things. Motor is stock but is tuned by   
  Glenn Breshears who is an ace mechanic and boat racer.  
  (He also built the Bushwacker boat.)

  "I first have to say that I am obsessed with the quality boat   PHOTO
  that Gambler has. I am new to the performance boat world  
  so when I was out the first time I had trouble getting the boat  
  over 67 due to chinewalk. A few trips later I had the boat at  
  79.2 gps at 6200 rpm. Merc prop specialist calculated that at  
  9% slip which according to them is very good. I believe I   
  could have got 80 if I had enough water to travel. I feel as if  
  the motor has a lot more, just not enough prop. Ordered a 28  
  PowerTech TR04, I'm a little nervous that it's too much pitch,  
  I may be crazy but I am optimistically hoping 85 gps.   
  Would love comments from those with similar situations."

  Tempest, Tempest Plus, some customs. The Predator 26"  
  is what works best for me. Basketball in boat's butt,   
  holeshot instantly, this boat is setup to not fall asleep at the  
  wheel, you have to hang on to the wheel with both hands and   
  know how to drive. Boat is a little dangerous when it gets   
  way up and you have to be aware of wind gusts getting under  
  bow. Found this out the hard way and almost put boat over  
  on top of me. Motor has several mods to it, aluminum flywheel  
  Brucato goodies, modified tuner and other exhaust work.  
  Powerhead reworked and polished, Torquemaster lower unit,  
  motor has been massaged by Mercury Racing out of   
  Fond du Lac."

  one I've ever owned, and would not trade it for anything.   
  I am still learning to drive it.  I owned a 18.5 ft Procraft  
  fish n ski with a 150 Merc before I got this boat. What a   
  difference! going from this that to this!! I really like the storage  
  under the deck, rod boxes, etc. But what really got my   
  attention was the acceleration from about 25 mph to about  
  75 mph. She will set you back in the seat.  The 225 Merc had   
  the Boyesen reeds already in it when I bought it. The floor   
  mounted buttons for the hydraulic jacker is a plus. Looking  
  to get a lower water pickup soon, and a nosecose, so I can  
  raise motor more for max speed and driveability. It handles  
  great until about 75-80 mph, then it wants to chine a little,   
  but not bad, I've learned to steer into the chine rather than  
  away from it, (if that made sense), kinda like you would steer  
  into a skid in snow or ice. She's primarily Burgundy with  
  Black on top, with Burgundy carpet. Single console with   
  wood dash and panel inserts. Once a Gambler Owner,  
  always a Gambler Owner!! "

  I run a 26" Trophy at 73 mph at the rev limiter  with great   
  hole shot with a Stingray stabilizer.  With the 26" Chopper  
  I hit 77 mph gps at rev limiter, with poor holeshot. Boat will   
  go much faster but afraid of losing my holeshot.  These speeds  
  are with both livewells full and 2 people.  Will be trying a 27"   
  Tempest and Trophy when the ice leaves.  Boat handles great   
  with no chinewalk.  Gets a little loose if you take your foot off  
  the gas too quick.  It has extreme low water pickup and   
  nosecone.  Backwash is bad and she sits low on the back  
  when fishing because of her short length and jackplate.  
    Updated 5/29/03.... "Tried 27" Tempest but didn't like the handling. Added an   
  Allison Foil and put a hole shot plate on bottom of hydraulic  
  jackplate. Greatly improved holeshot.  Two vent plugs   
  removed and two large in.  A little slip if I take off with the   
  jackplate all the way up. Also added a Stealth charger which  
  is working great. Garmin eTrex Vista GPS mounted on dash."

  but I feel like one of the Andrettis when this thing is stretched  
  out.  My girlfriend says that trips to the lake are the only times  
  that I've ever made her cry (scared to death)!  
  I've even out run several drag boats!  There's not a word   
  that'll describe this thing!  You Bullet owners are really
